It's pretty warm in LA today. Not as warm as other places in the country, but warm for here. Mom, Arlo & I went to a nice lunch place up in Larchmont and sweated a bit sitting out on the patio. My ankle and leg feel much the same as last week. Still swelling, still not as bad as it was. I wonder if the swelling will go away, or if that leg will just swell from now on (a possibility depending on the clot and scar tissue, etc.) Nothing really to do about it but keep taking the medicine as prescribed.

The heatwave gives me an opportunity to do different things during the day than I might otherwise. I'm doing more reading right now, in the mid-afternoon - 2:30pm. Also this post, of course. I can see the weather predictions for the next few days (10 days) and I can see that the heat should break after today. Doesn't mean it will, but it's nice to know that it won't last forever. I do wish there weren't QUITE so many fires all over the place, quite so much wreckage from this heat, this season, but it is what it is. Acceptance, trying to live with it and properly take care of myself. Same as the leg & the lungs.
